Arcadia Retro Eats Brand Development

I led the complete brand development for Arcadia Retro Eats, creating a nostalgic yet modern identity capturing the essence of 80s and 90s arcade culture while appealing to contemporary diners.

Logo Design

The logo I created for Arcadia Retro Eats cleverly incorporated elements from classic video games. The standout feature was a Pac-Man inspired “C” that immediately evoked nostalgia while maintaining a clean, modern look. This design set the tone for the entire brand identity, blending retro gaming aesthetics with contemporary design principles.

Menu Design

Taking inspiration from the original Pac-Man game board, I designed a unique menu that resembled a classic arcade level but in brand colors. The layout featured:

  • 8-bit icons representing different food categories
  • A maze-like structure guiding customers through menu options
  • Pixelated graphics for a true retro gaming feel

Crucially, I strategically highlighted high-profit items within the design, using visual cues such as power-up icons or bonus food graphics to draw attention to these menu options. This approach not only enhanced the brand consistency but also drove revenue by subtly encouraging customers to choose more profitable dishes.

Digital Marketing Strategy

I managed Arcadia Retro Eats’ social media presence across Meta platforms, focusing on both paid and organic growth:

  • Created engaging content that highlighted the restaurant’s unique offerings and ambiance
  • Partnered with influencers to expand organic reach and attract a wider audience
  • Developed targeted paid advertising campaigns to drive foot traffic and online orders

Website Design and Maintenance

The website I designed and maintained for Arcadia Retro Eats served as a digital extension of the physical space:

  • Regularly updated menu items and arcade game listings
  • Ensured seamless user experience across devices
  • Incorporated brand elements and retro-inspired design throughout the site

Environmental Design

To complete the immersive experience, I designed a wall mural that transformed the restaurant space:

  • Utilized brand colors to create a Pac-Man board-inspired design
  • Installed a yellow neon sign featuring the logo, adding a vibrant, arcade-like glow to the interior

This environmental design element tied the physical space to the brand identity, creating a cohesive and memorable dining experience that transported patrons back to the golden age of arcade gaming.
